I don't know how JCP managed to live up to my expectations after Camp Hell, but somehow she did. The plot was really good, but what made me love the book were Vic's insights and character development, and watching his and Jacob's relationship evolve. The astral projection scenes were fascinating, and so very illuminating.
The very end, where
was shocking and yet made total sense in retrospect. I'm dying to see how that plays out in the next book.
